About Me

Hello there!

My name's Anna and I'm an illustrator based in Tasmania, Australia.

I spend a lot of my time sketching and painting buildings, landscapes, and whatever else inspires me. I also run an Etsy Store which you can go and take a look at if you're interested in purchasing what I create!

Aside from painting, I also love to study the natural world, read plenty of books, go for walks outdoors, and watch my pet chickens as they peck around the backyard.

I'm always happy to have a chat - so if you want to get in contact, please send me an email via the contact button at the bottom of the page.

About My Art

In January of 2018, I started experimenting with watercolour painting. I was inspired by the art and life of Beatrix Potter and hoped that, one day, I could follow a similar path.

Once I understood the basics of watercolour, I began to fall in love with the art of illustrating buildings and country scenes. I enjoy the playfulness that one can bring to an architectural drawing and the challenges that often come with it. Like any artist, my style is forever evolving alongside my skill set and it's exciting to document this progress online.

I've had a life long love for the English countryside and cottage design so naturally many of my paintings are of English villages and houses.

I usually use a combination of pencil, ink, and watercolour to create my illustrations and, when the weather is nice, I'll head outdoors to paint en plein air.

In 2020, I took a leap of faith and opened my online Etsy store where I sell prints, original paintings, and other products such as bookmarks and cards. I was over the moon when I sold my first print and am still incredibly grateful to everyone who supports my artwork through purchasing items from my shop.

Alongside developing my art business, my dream is to one day write and illustrate both travel books and children's stories. I'm a little way off from those grand goals at the moment, but I consider each painting that I create to be one step towards the finish line and I'm looking forward to sharing this journey along the way.
